Active modified atmosphere packaging
The laser system extends the freshness of products by optimising the permeability of the packaging.
Film permeability is the critical control point for the quality and shelf life of fresh products and can be checked by micro-punching.
The laser makes a precise number of holes of the same size.

Closed-loop-feedback camera system
The laser has a closed-loop camera system.
The built-in camera inspects each hole and if necessary automatically adjusts “on the fly” to compensate for any variation in film thickness.
The camera is located directly behind the laser punch head and inspects each punch in the film.
The holes are analysed for diameter and shape and if there is any inconsistency , the packing machine can stop automatically.
In this way, the system guarantees that all packages have the same exact required number and size of perforations.
Reliable in all conditions
The laser is specially designed for integration into vertical or horizontal packaging machines and container sealers and is able to operate reliably in wet, cold and dusty environments.
Smart optical path
The laser can make very small holes up to 55 – 60 microns in diameter.
This is achieved with a special optical path.
With this technology very small micro-perforations can be made with the highest consistency.
This is particularly important for salads , vegetables and fruits , due to the low respiration of these products.
